· Amazon sees 10% jump in number of over-25s starting an apprenticeship
· The clear majority (67%) of new apprentices at Amazon are now aged over-25
· Amazon is providing 1,000 new apprentice roles in 2024 including 230 degree-level apprenticeships in accounting and data analysis
Apprenticeships are proving increasingly valuable to the modern economy to address skills gaps and increase social mobility. What’s more, people of any age are turning to an apprenticeship as their next career step.
In 2023, two thirds (67%) of new apprentices at Amazon were aged 25 and over, an increase of 10% year on year in the number of people looking to change their careers, highlighting that apprenticeships are not just for the school-leavers.
