As spring approaches, a new survey has revealed 75% of people in the UK are either contemplating or have already started making significant changes to their homes.
With the surge in home improvements, 64% now consider second-hand sites as a viable option for buying furniture.
The research by Europcar has shown half of people (50%) have admitted that they opt for DIY solutions primarily to save money. Interestingly, 35% expressed that engaging in DIY projects provides them with a profound sense of empowerment while 25% enjoy the challenge and creativity it brings.
This new survey has also identified a whole new spectrum of personalities when it comes to DIY projects, with 30% identifying as planner DIYers, 26% showcasing patience in their approach, 18% say they are impulsive while 22% call themselves reluctant when it comes to engaging in DIY activities.
When it comes to carrying out the work, 10% of people put off doing it due to not having the right transportation.
