Please be aware that as a precaution related to COVID-19 (coronavirus), restricted visiting hours and visitor numbers have been introduced at Macclesfield Hospital with immediate effect.
This is to reduce footfall and minimise the risk of transmission, which is good practice at this time.
Visiting hours for all wards will now be 2pm to 4pm daily and at any given time there must be no more than two visitors per patient. In exceptional circumstances variations may be possible but only with the express agreement of the senior nurse in charge of the ward/department.
In addition, an isolation area on Ward 11 is currently closed to all visitors apart from exceptions agreed with the senior nurse in charge of the ward/department.
These important measures will help ensure the safety of patients and visitors and will be reviewed on an ongoing basis. Thank you in advance for your understanding and support.
