Parish Council gives Platinum Jubilee Mugs to all the school children in the Parish

Minshull Vernon & District Parish Council, which covers the Parishes of Leighton, Woolstanwood and Minshull Vernon, have delivered 70th Anniversary Platinum Jubilee Commemorative Mugs.

Minshull Vernon & District Parish Council, which covers the Parishes of Leighton,Woolstanwood and Minshull Vernon, have delivered 70th Anniversary, Platinum Jubilee, Commemorative Mugs for each child at the Leighton Academy and Nursery, the Mablins Lane Primary School and the Kid's Planet Nursery, the Axis Academy, (which is a new SEND Special Educational Needs and Disability School in Woolstanwood for 40 pupils) and the Bright Stars Children's Day Nursery in Parkers Road.

Altogether 1500 have been distributed.

Parish Chairman, Clive Stringer said, " We hope the children will treasure this momento of a unique time in the history of our country and the Royal Family. The Commemorative Mug will remind them of this historic moment for many years to come."
