Detectives investigating a series of burglaries in Northwich have charged a man in relation to the incidents.
Jonathan Maddock was arrested on Friday 3 January following a burglary in the Brook Lane area of the town.
Following questioning the 43-year-old has been charged with four counts of burglary, possession of an offensive weapon in a private place and one count of attempted burglary.
The charges relate to offences which occurred in the Northwich area between Wednesday 1 January and Friday 3 January.
Maddock of Dean Street in Northwich, has been remanded in custody and is set to appear at Chester Magistrates Court on Monday 6th January 2025.

- Burglary dwelling - with intent to steal - On 03/01/2025 at Northwich in the county of Cheshire entered as a trespasser a building namely 11 Dean Street, with intent to steal therein
- Burglary dwelling and theft - On at 03/01/2025 at Northwich in the county of Cheshire having entered as a trespasser a building namely 28 Middlewich Road stole therein Pregablin to a value unknown.
- Burglary dwelling - with intent to steal - On 03/01/2025 at Northwich in the county of Cheshire entered as a trespasser a building namely 25 Brook Lane, with intent to steal therein
- Possess an offensive weapon in private place - On 03/01/2025 at Northwich in the county of Cheshire possessed in private, namely 15 Dean Street, a weapon to which section 141 of the Criminal Justice Act 1988 applied, namely a sword comprising of a curved blade and in excess of 50cm in length
- Attempt burglary dwelling with intent to steal - On 01/01/2025 at Northwich in the county of Cheshire attempted to enter as a trespasser a building namely 5 Spencer Street, Northwich, with intent to steal therein
