A man will appear at court this morning (15th March) charged in connection to offences under the Modern Slavery Act (2015) and drug supply after a 17-year-old boy was found in possession of Class A drugs and large sums of cash on the railway network.
The teenager was stopped by officers from British Transport Police’s County Lines Taskforce at Crewe railway station in February last year.
Abdata Jamal, 20, and of HMP Forest Bank, Manchester, will appear at Manchester Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 15th March charged with two counts of human trafficking under the Modern Slavery Act and two counts of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.
