Following her mainstream 80's chart success, Alison Moyet felt somewhat shackled by the demands of major record labels and finally decided to go her own way, releasing exactly the material she wanted and setting her own agenda.
Her determination paid off and she released new albums through independent label Cooking Vinyl, yet still maintaining album chart success.
